A Little Better than #1 0

I really liked the way this comic is coming together story wise. The art is a little better. At least where it concerns super villians and super heroes. I really enjoyed the story once again and hated the art once again. So I can truly recommend anyone who likes Superman picking this up; not for the art, but only for the story. I again, really like the way the internal monologue conveys a complex emotional character in what would appear to be a simple or simply brooding character. I'm definitely...

More What I Expected 0

The Good: Superboy dons his awesome costume, and that's pretty damn great. We actually get to see some of his 'mind in every cell of his body' in action. Rose gets more developed as a character, and I'm really liking this direction for her. We also get to see her in action and that's quite a treat. She's really coming around as a supporting character, retaining a lot of mystery.  The set up for the next issue is pretty intense. The Bad: Superboy #1 took a lot of fun little interesting twists and...

Superboys and their Timelines. 4

A slightly above average book that has one flaw that ruins the reading experience. The major flaw in this book is that it jumps back to something we already saw to somewhere we can't place. The first scene could have been handled in issue #1 and then made this issue less confusing, likewise the confusion in this issue occurs because in issue #1 along with Teen Titans #1 we see him join the Teen Titans, but in this issue it looks like he hasn't yet... which means we don't know where this issue act...

Scott Lobdell has been watching too much Evangelion 0

This is easily the most disappointing book for the second month of the New 52. I had such high hopes for this title, especially considering how cool Superboy is in Young Justice. With a solid introduction and Dc's teaser about an alien prison riot, I thought this issue would be mostly about Superboy beating the shit out of a lot of Green Lantern enemies. Sadly, I was wrong, this is half talking and the other half, Superboy getting his ass handed to him by two aliens. Way to build up the characte...

Superboy Is REALLY Psychic Now 0

Superboy #1 was fairly good, but I wanted more. Superboy #2 is here and it's going to try to win me over. What do I think of this series now that Issue #2 is out?  THE GOOD: The art is very clean. I think that it's okay, but I have definitely seem better. The story is also okay. We get to see Superboy in a fight for the first time. I really like the supporting cast in this series. We have some strong female characters helping Superboy learn his way. I really like his villain he is fighting. It r...
