A villain posing as a criminal sociology post-graduate student at Vandyre University. He was seriously injuried after diving in a swimming pool in an attempt to stop a young lady from hitting a large chunk of cement. A doctor informed Supergirl of the serious extent of David's injuries. Supergirl felt bad that she wasn't there to stop the incident. She goes to the Fortress of Solitude to consult Professor Nar-Kor who provided her with the surgical tools to perform the delicate brain surgery with donated cells from Supergirl. Afterwards, he dated Linda Danvers but continued his criminal ways now with super powers from Supergirl's cells. David created a uniform and used a lead helmet to conceal his identity from Supergirl. As Super-Scavenger he stopped a bank robbery committed by his henchmen and took the loot for himself. Supergirl alerted to the incident battles and captured the Super-Scavenger turning him over to the authorities.
