    Steelbeak

Character » Steelbeak appears in 28 issues.

Villain of Darkwing Duck and a member of F.O.W.L. As the name implies he has a steel beak. He is more of a "sit back and relax as your plan goes into affect" kind of guy than a "hands on" sort of person

    Creation

He was created by Dev Ross for the TV show Darkwing duck. F.O.W.L. of course had appeared previously on the Tv show Ducktales, but this was the first time there was a formidable villain from that agency appear who was not a woman (like Feathers Galore) and survived his first appearance.

    Origin

Steelbeak works for the Fiendish (formally Foreign) Organization for/of World Larceny ( F.O.W.L.). He is a major player in this organization and is in charge of several squads of F.O.W.L. Eggmen. He takes orders from F.O.W.L. High command. He has worked with Ammonia Pine a few times and Ammonia has a crush on him. He and his organization are enemies of S.H.U.S.H. and its agents.

    Character Evolution

He has not really changed through the years. He seems to be a constant in the universe.

Its not who you think it is!
(turns out it was Taurus Bulba), he is surprised by a person who was wearing the same white suit and clothing as Steelbeak. However, when the light hit his face, it turns out it was actually a musician who thought Darkwing was a "Cruddier" and forced him to sing at a retirement party for a fellow named Maury Thwackstein.

    F.O.W.L. Disposition
After Quackwerks (which was revealed to be headed by Taurus Bulba) took over St. canard, several F.O.W.L. and S.H.U.S.H. agents went to work for the Goliath company. Only Steel Beak and the F.O.W.L. High command remained in the game of espionage. The high command did not want to out done so they went beyond the standard espionage tricks and looked into ancient texts. They found a being from beyond the stars they could call upon to enslave not only all of St. Canard but all the earth: Duckthulhu!

Steelbeak didn't agree with the high command, so he called upon the person who had foiled their fowl fiendish plans in the past: Darkwing duck! They attempt to sabotage F.O.W.L. operations, but they are forced to retreat when they are attacked by a large army of F.O.W.L. Eggmen.  They evade the squad and go back to F.O.W.L.'S HQ. There they meet up with Femme Appeal, another agent of F.O.W.L. who also believes the coming of Duckthulhu is the wrong idea. In a quick turn of events, which you might have seen coming, Steelbeak betrays Darkwing when his back is turned, right when Duckthulhu is summoned. Can Darkwing get out of this one?
