Luminara along with Barriss Offee are two of my least favorite star wars characters. There voice alone has me wanting me to force choke both of them. Luminara has no business on the jedi council because of her cockiness, and most importanlt her criminal treatment of her padawan.

1. Ofee is remarkably arrogant. When faced with someone who has pushed kenobi, and even pushed anakin, she dismisses her saying, "she is merely an assasin". Off course this happens:

and she is bailed out of the more competent padawan who she told not to help her.

This alone i suppose doesn't mean she has no place in the council, the following however shows that she belongs in prison.

2. When shutting down a factory on geonosis, her padawan, and anakin's padawan, offee and ahsoka are trapped. Luminara rather than helping anakin opts to leave them to die telling Anakin, "we don't have the time'. WHAT? It took anakin at most 5 minuites to rescue the two. YOU COULDN'T SPARE 5 MINUITES TO SAVE YOUR PADAWAN. There's likely a crime in needlessly leaving fellow officers to die, A SERIOUS ONE. Not only should she have been kicked out of the order, she should have been locked up in prison.

She also decided to lecture Anakin for saving their padawans' lives. They really should have had her get force choked by anakin.

Which a master like this, it aint all that suprising this happened:

What a teacher, leaving your students to die and then trains someone who becomes a darksider and proceeds to kill numerous people with a bombing.

Also her motivation for joining the darkside made no sense. I don't wanna fight for peacekeeeprs cause they don't keep peace. I wanna join the group of warmongeres who don't try to keep peace.

All Jedi were extremely arrogant during the prequel era. It's kinda why the order fell in the first place. Excluding obi most of them screwed up immensely

@nerevarine_11: plo koon was pretty good, he was one of the three who voted for ahsoka to be given a trial at the temple.

Barriss was an ok character, a capable fighter and overall tolerable. Luminara was just a complete twat! You shouldn't be allowed on the council when you are getting comprehensively beaten and outsmarted by a pre-prime Ventress. She wasn't exactly wise either

she was never part of the council. though she was a master so above knights like anakin and below council members like adi-galia

I agree Luminara which is probably why she never served on the council...
