For the majority of her existence, Guri served as a confidante and personal assassin to Prince Xizor in addition to managing the affairs of the Black Sun crime syndicate—ranking second only to the Falleen prince in the organization's hierarchy. After Xizor's death, she would reprogram herself and eventually join the Rebellion .
Although she played the role of her appearance as a young female human thoroughly (extremely thoroughly if you know what Xizor used her for occasionally), she was in-fact a Human Replica Droid ; and one of a kind at that.
The purpose of this post is to highlight Guri's exceptional combat abilities; highlighting her as possibly the best non-force-wielding combatant in the Star Wars mythos at the time of her writing. (I must add say that she very much reminds me of the T-X from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in both appearance and abilities.)

**General Stats**
Guri was designed with enhanced strength and reflexes in mind:
She possessed perfect balance:
Her enhanced strength, speed, agility, and balance made Guri an efficient killing machine:
Guri excelled at blaster combat:
"Guri bore no weapon; though she also excelled at marksmanship, she seldom needed to use a blaster."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Guri was proficient at various abilities, including:
- dodge and parry
- melee combat
- thrown weapons
- martial arts
Note how Guri is rated as '15' under the "Move" category. She possesses the highest score in this category of all the characters reviewed in this sourcebook (including Sidious, Vader, Luke, Xizor, various bounty hunters, etc). The next highest score of '12' is possessed by Darth Vader's light-saber training droids, making Guri all that more impressive.
Guri had no equal in hand-to-hand combat aside from trained force-sensitives:
"My master pits himself against the deadliest opponents he can find. There is no
man who is my equal in hand-to-hand combat. Except perhaps, if the stories are true, a Jedi Knight."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
**Combat Feats**
Guri strangles to death a clone of her human creator in mere seconds:
With a single kick to the head, Guri kills bounty hunter Boushh:
Guri kills Black Sun Vigo Green via strangulation; the latter being completely helpless to her strength:
"She stopped behind Green the Human.
Xizor smiled.
Green tried to stand, but Guri was incredibly fast.
She whipped her arm around the man's throat and locked it with her other arm into a choke hold.
Green struggled briefly, but he might as well have been wrestling with a durasteel clamp. The blood that
fed his brain shut off, and he lost consciousness.
Guri tightened the hold and held it, held it, held it.
A long time passed. None of the other Vigos moved.
When Green was no longer among the living, Guri released him, and he fell forward; his head thumped
loudly upon the table."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Guri kills an entire group of males in rapid succession, demonstrating her inhuman strength, speed, agility, and marksmanship:
* Tuyay was a large human male capable of squatting four times his weight effortlessly, yet was helpless against Guri's strength.
"Guri smiled and stood, still looking as if she'd just awakened from a long nap.
When she moved, it was incredibly fast. She hopped up onto the table, threw a front somersault and
landed behind Tuyay, spun, and picked him up, chair and all.
Then she threw him at the two Gamorrean guards before either could clear his blaster. The impact
knocked both of the piglike aliens flat.
Dellis Yuls pulled a small blaster from inside his tunic, but before he could line up, Guri grabbed his
wrist, broke it, and removed the weapon from his hand. She tossed it aside, grinning.
Limmer tried to stand, and she speared his throat with her fingertips, paused long enough to twist Yuls's
neck until it cracked like a wet branch breaking, then leaped over the table.
Tuyay came to his feet and turned. Guri grabbed him around the throat as he did the same to her. For a
moment they stood there locked in stasis.
Tuyay crumbled, his face full of horror at her strength. He lost consciousness as the blood was kept from
his brain.
Guri dropped him, reached down, pulled the blaster from the belt of one of the stunned Gamorreans,
then used it to shoot both the bodyguards. One bolt each, in the head.
She hopped up onto the table and down next to Limmer and Yuls and shot each of them at the base of
the skull.
Then she returned to where Tuyay lay trying to breathe through his bruised throat. She squatted next to
him and waited until he came to and looked up at her.
"I'll tell Prince Xizor what you said." She smiled and almost carelessly shoved the blaster against Tuyay's
left eyeball and pulled the trigger.
Then she stood, walked to where a hidden security wallcam recorded the entire scene, and ripped the
unit out of the wall."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Xizor believed Guri to be the deadliest weapon in his arsenal, and thought that she was capable of holding her own against Vader, even more so than Xizor could. Xizor himself is a top-tier martial artist who has gone head-to-head with jedi. Xizor Respect Thread
"The recording showed him what he already knew. Guri was the dead-
liest weapon in his arsenal. He wondered how she would do in a one-on-one against Vader. Probably
better than he would, though he was fairly certain that Vader, who had hunted down and killed Jedi
adepts, could take her.
Even so, it would be interesting to watch."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Even while restrained with steel cables and cuffbands, Guri casually breaks free with her strength:
"Dash leaned against a wall, a
blaster trained on Guri, who sat in a chair and was bound with cuffbands and a steel cable. They weren't
taking any chances with her....
"Dash, unbind her," Leia ordered.
"There is no need," Guri said, smiling. She flexed her arms. The bands around her wrists popped as if
they were made of cheap plasto. She took a deep breath and strained; the cable around her shoulders
gave a metallic groan, stretched, then snapped."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
She hurls a heavy metallic chair as if it weighed nothing:
"He fired again- Guri leaped out into the corridor. She held a chair, a heavy metal thing with casters on the
bottom. She hurled it down the hallway as if it weighed no more than a pebble Look out!" Luke yelled."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Luke engages in combat with Guri, describing her as being impossibly fast and stating that it was only through his connection to the force that he avoided being killed:
"She leaped at him- She was impossibly fast. On his own, he'd never have dodged, but he was permeated
with the Force....
Glad she thought so. She was supernaturally fast, and it was only by holding to the Force that he could
begin to match her....
She circled, looked for an opening- "Luke-!" Leia's scream distracted him. He flicked his gaze toward
the sound of her voice, saw her and the others turn to look at him- It was enough for Guri. She took a
long, sliding step and punched- Luke backpedaled, but even so, her fist hit him in the belly hard.
"Oooff!" She followed up with an elbow, but he dived away, rolled and turned, came up with his hands
lifted as she darted after him- He lost contact with the Force. He was on his own- She slapped him next
to the ear and he went down, dazed.
If he didn't do something fast, she was going to kill him!
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Luke goes out of his way (postponing his escape from Xizor's collapsing castle-tower) to nearly kill a downed Guri, citing her as being too deadly and dangerous to be left in existence:
"Luke pulled his lightsaber, ignited it. This droid was deadly, too dangerous to remain in existence. He
lifted the blade..."
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Guri casually downs a group of criminals:
She defeats a large swamp monster with just her bare hands:
Guri kills a pack of what appears to be a pack of large cats of prey (note: she has a blaster but opts to fight unarmed instead):
Demonstrates extreme speed and mobility by jumping through a domed force-shield opening before it seals closed:
Incapacitates the Pike Sisters, two formidable bounty hunters and masters of the Teras Kasi fighting style * ; again abstaining from using her blaster:
Fights and kills Kar Yang, a rival to Boba Fett and combatant capable of winning against large groups of men in unarmed combat * , by ripping out his heart:
Kills a group of armed mercenaries without being shot:
One-shots Savan before she can react. Falleens are noted to have much quicker reflexes than humans yet she was helpless against Guri:
"He had one card left to play, a bit of knowledge that Xizor didn't know he had, and a reasonable chance now of implementing it before the Fallen could, quite literally, hand him his head. If he could get the drop on Xizor for just a second, he might be able to delay the prince long enough for the rest of his plan to work. He doubted he'd get much more time than that; Falleen were much stronger than humans, and their reflexes much faster."
