Cade's Legacy begins to haunt him
Cade goes back to the place where it all started and gets more than what he bargained for.
Pros:
Cade finally returns after a couple filler issues, and boy, does it start off with a bang. Besides the possibilities of the future, one factor that makes Legacy work is John Ostrander's use of the expanded universe. Mara Jade, the (hot) wife of Luke Skywalker, and Anakin Skywalker make an appearance in Cade's force vision after overdosing on deathsticks. Like with Luke, they both warn Cade about the dark side of the Force and the legacy the Skywalkers have with it. Another character from the Clone Wars era appears as well name K'Kruhk (A lot of people might not know him unless they read some Star Wars Comics in the Clone Wars. He also showed up in an episode of Star Wars: Clone wars (Genndy Tartakovsky version)). It's revealed that not only did he survived the attack on Ossus, but he was once a master to Cade. After all of this, Cade finally decides to continue is Jedi training to prepare himself against the Sith.
But besides the things going on for Cade, his former crew Deliah and Syn seem to gotten themselves in trouble with the Sith now that the Sith are looking for Cade.
Finally, an unexpected group of Yuzhan Vong show up on Ossus and it appears that Cade might know one of them.
As always, Jan Duursema keeps the artwork looking great. Mara Jade looks fantastic, and the fight between Cade and Darth Vader looks amazing. I also like the environment on Osuss.
Cons:
This issue has somewhat of a Empire Strikes Back feel. Cade continues his training as a Jedi, and his friends get captured by the Sith. I have a feeling that he might go after them if he finds out that they've been captured.
Overall: The surprises just keep coming and coming. Can't wait for the next issue.
