A new beginning!
The cover says 'The future of Star Wars begins now'. Well that's a little too ambitious since we all know and know and love the prequels and this doesn't quite reach those levels. Nonetheless it's a really enjoyable read and recommended to all the Star Wars fans out there. You also don't really need to know anything about Star Wars other then the movies so it's easy for new readers that are interested in Star Wars to jump right in.
Let's start with a little background information: The story takes place years and years after the events that Luke Skywalker took place in and instead we get to know more about his descendants. The empire is back with a whole new emperor and the jedi are all scattered across the galaxy, Sith now reign supreme. The story starts with a view on how the Jedi got scattered across the galaxy. We start off with the descendant of Luke, Kol Skywalker that fights off the empire attack on the Jedi stronghold on Ossus along with his fellow Jedi. However, the battle quickly takes a turn for the worst and the Jedi are overrun. Kol's son Cade Skywalker is ordered to board a spacecraft and leave the planet with his wounded jedi master Wolf Sazen.
This is but a mere taste of the story because giving too much away would spoil the story. It already shows a young Cade close to the dark side, something that will remain throughout the arc. But from the beginning you understand why he does.

- The art is a personal thing, but for me it took some getting used to. Everyone just looked so scruffy (I guess they take after Han Solo ;) )
