Meet a new kind of Jedi for a new era of Star Wars!

Jedi Knight Kerra Holt thought she was prepared for anything that could happen on the volunteer mission that took her deep into Sith Space. But now, trapped behind enemy lines, Kerra looks towards a life without the support of the Republic...and if her headstrong ways continue to lead her actions, she may end up without any supports at all!

When deadly baradium is found lacing the crust of peaceful Chelloa, Sith Lord Daiman seeks to use it against his rivals. But before the explosive can be shipped to his weapons factories, charismatic Jedi leader Vannar Treece strikes, leading a group of volunteers including young Kerra Holt.
But Vannar is himself suprised when Dalman's brother and mortal enemy, Odion, arrives with a colossal machine. Kerra realizes Odion's true intention - but too late. The kinetic corruptor ignites underground baradium across a huge area, killing Kerra's companions.
Thrown clear of the inferno by her mentor's final act, Kerra faces the prospect of life deep in Sith territory. She may not be the lond Jedi: Gorlan Palladane, leader of Chelloa's enslaved miners, appears at her side, using Force healing skills. But he may not be the help that she needs...
