You Better Make Sure Next Time...
Synopsis: The truth about Boba Fett supposed death is revealed.
Come on! Who really believed that Boba Fett was really dead? For a story that takes place before the movies IV-VI, it's not really hard to figure that out, despite the first page in the first issue says otherwise. However, it's the journey that Boba Fett goes through to get from A to Z and his next course of action that makes this issue so awesome.
Like I thought in the previous issue, the mysterious man that went around killing people that had something to do with Boba Fett's "death" posing as Connor Freeman was, in fact, Boba Fett. Tom Taylor takes the time to explain how both Boba Fett and Connor Freeman survived, and what Boba has been doing after faking his death. There's a much larger story in works for someone who wants not only Boba dead, but those he associated with in the past: which includes Ailyn Vel and Sintas Vel, two characters I thought I would never see again, especially in the comics (Well, I did read about them in Legacy of the Force)! Seeing those two makes this story even more exciting.
Besides the characters I mentioned above, Connor Freeman is also one of the central characters yet again for this story. His personality does help smooth over the story considering that Boba doesn't talk much unless he has something important to say. The reaction at the end of this issue is priceless.
Chris Scalf's realism with the artwork is what set this entire series apart from most Star Wars titles out there. He puts a lot of effort in the details in everything, including the characters, items and backgrounds.
Overall:
Tom Taylor and Chris Scalf are totally making this story arc worth reading. Seriously, if you're a fan of Boba Fett, check this series out. Dark Horse comics have been knocking it out of the park when it comes to their Star Wars titles lately.
