This story, almost two hundred years before the events in A New Hope, tells of a young Chewbacca on the planet Kashyyyk and his young friends as they attempt to prove themselves as adults. They venture into the Shadowlands in search of adventure, but instead find ruthless slavers plotting a raid on a Wookiee village. The encounter, accidental as it were, proves to be Chewie's most formative experience.
