Book I, Part I: Skywalker Strikes last edited by Darkside_of_the_Sun on 01/18/21 07:51AM View full history

Luke Skywalker and the ragtag band of rebels fighting against the Galactic Empire are fresh off their biggest victory yet-the destruction of the massive battle station known as the Death Star. But the Empire's not toppled yet! Join Luke along with Princess Leia, smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca, droids C-3PO and R2-D2 and the rest of the Rebel Alliance as they strike out for freedom against the evil forces of Darth Vader and his master, the Emperor. Written by Jason Aaron (Original Sin, Thor: God of Thunder) and with art by John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny Avengers), this is the Star Wars saga as only Marvel Comics could make it!

A New Hope Continues 0

I was really looking forward to this first issue of Star Wars. This is going to be the first Star Wars from Marvel and part of the official canon universe. I am happy to say that it fulfills some of my expectations. The story begins after the events of A New Hope. The main characters play interesting roles and spring into action once the mission kicks into high gear. Not to spoil anything, but the whole issue is nothing more than a good ol' Star Wars adventure, and that's a good thing. The writing...

Yes Disney owns your childhood, but it'll probably be okay. 0

It always sucks when a comics company that was doing a great job with a licenced property gets the rug pulled out from under them. Brian Wood and Carlos DÁnda were doing a fine job with Star Wars until they had the bad luck to rub up against Disney's buyouts of both Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics, which pretty much guaranteed that the Star Wars licence would come quickly skipping back to Marvel. So now we have the first of what looks to be a whole slew of new Marvel Star Wars titles, and if ...
