Star Trek: Early Voyages #15

The best crews Kirk or Pike ever had are all here in a fight to the death.  Just like the Alamo, Little Big Horn and Thermopylae.  The crews are greatly out gunned and out maned.  No one has a chance of survival.  This is all done to correct the timeline that has been broken when Mia Colt disappeared from the past to go to the future.
 
This book has everything.  It is an alternate timeline so death can and does happen across the pages.  Many of best characters is Star Trek are killed.  The book also really brings out the best of the captains Pike and Kirk.
 
This book should have been the last book written in the series.  It has the epic story the untimate time travel adventure and ends with Pike finding out his own unavoidable future.  To be honest the series should have never ended but if it was going to end this would have been the perfect story.
 
I realized something when I read this book as to why it is so great and that is these characters can die.  Some like Pike are destined to meet certain fates but no one knows what happened to the rest of his crew.  Phillip Boyce, Mia Colt, Number One and Jose Tyler were all in that first episode.  We have no idea what happened to them.  Not to mention the rest of the crew that have their first appearance in this book.  These are new adventures not filler.
 
I highly recommend these books as many who read my reviews know I do not give out five star ratings very often but in this series nearly every book got one and on top of that my lowest rating in the series so far has been four stars.  Find this series and read it.
