I like the fact that a just because a female character gets a book it is now considered to be overly PC. Because you know, females can't possibly be entertaining on their own right?

Unbeatable? Really? Why can't it just be called Squirrel Girl instead?

I can't believe it took this long to happen. About damn time Squirrel Girl her own series. "Unbeatable" is probably the best tag line of any book.

I've been hoping for a long time she'd get her own book, but I'd nearly given up hope before yesterday.

@dotwilson: Are you serious!? 23 male single characters/all male teams books over 8 female/all female team books... how is that more? That is leass than 50%! The reason there is ANOTHER FEMALE solo book is because there is not enough!

what a surprise, what a surprise...... ANOTHER FEMALE solo book. i'm pretty sure Marvel has more female characters in their books than male. can someone please tell me i'm not the only one bothered by this - and if your not, ask yourself... how you relate with the likes of female superheroes and their issues.

@scouterv: Well yeah, of course I can comment on it even now. For example, I can say that I'm not interested because it's pretty much a series about Marvel's Chuck Norris, I can say I'm not interested because the art looks no better than a Tumblr webcomic to me, etc.

It's like with Klarion, it's not out yet but I'm not going to read it because of who's writing it.

@br_havoc: And just because it's different doesn't mean it's going to be good or that I have to look forward to it. People are entitled to their own opinion and I'd rather have Marvel give a shot to other characters instead of to the most stale running joke in all of comicdom.

I wish that this series was given to Dan Slott after his run on Superior Spider-Man had ended as this series would have been interesting from his perspective.

"Unbeatable". My point exactly. You can't have a compelling story arc about a character when nothing is a threat to them!

"The nice thing about a tail is you can tuck it into your pants!"

I can think of something I'd like to tuck into her pants ;) *slap!* I deserved that.

I guess we can all knew the best place to store our nuts :D

I don't get it... why are so many people bothered by this books announcement? I mean don't get me wrong everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but that doesn't mean i always understand it. This book seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun. Not every book has to be dark and serious, I'm stoked for this title

Seems like a fun book that I should check out. Scott Koblish even told me that he put SG as a bridesmaid on his Deadpool Wedding cover because he liked the character so much.

What are Marvel doing? I'm not a woman or a squirrel so how can I possibly identify with this character. You know what this is its a feminist conspiracy! Obviously I'm joking but seriously can't believe people upset that Marvel releasing a female lead book.
