Squadron Supreme is going to survive Battleworld and make their way into the new Marvel universe, post-SECRET WARS and get their own series. Announced on Marvel's website, writer James Robinson and artist Leonard Kirk, the creative team behind the last volume of FANTASTIC FOUR, are coming together to tackle this team, with Paul Neary doing the inks.

During their interview, we learned that Hickman's Hyperion will be here, as well as Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, and Blur, who is the Blur from New Universe. It's a mish-mash of characters, all coming together to form a team.

We will be seeing flashbacks from individual characters from their own worlds, so it will be interesting to see how they all fit together and work together as a unit.

SQUADRON SUPREME by Robinson, Kirk, and Neary hits comic shops and the digital market sometime later this year.

I'm all for something new, I hope it does well.

So basically, marvel is releasing one title per day leading up to comic con?

Looks like Marvel trying to create their own little main earth Justice League.

I know nothing about them. Usually I don't read team books (except for really exciting arcs) but who knows if they market it right maybe Marvel can convince me.

I can not describe how disappointed i am right now... i have been begging for a new Supreme Power series and they kill them off not once but TWICE, and now its definitive and permanent.

Would have been cool if male Thor was on this team.

I'm a big fan of Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme. Haven't checked out any of James Robinson's work since he went to Marvel. This looks right up my alley.

I'm super excited by thus seems like Thundra is also part of the team and the Hyperion is the recent Avengers Hyperion or atlest the suit looks like that, I guess this is the team of characters from dead universes, frankly out of everything announced this is the thing I'm more hyped about.

Will keep an eye out.

I really need to push through that Fantastic Four run to get a feel for James Robinson's run. I thought the book looked amazing, just never liked the team aside from Morrison's mini series. Speaking on this book though, I'm so ready. Squadron Sinister was my most anticipated title before I saw a preview for Civil War. I'm a big Hyperion fan and the rest of the team is just up my alley. Can't wait.

I saw Thing with Guardians... what about the rest of the team? I'd be happy with them all on separate teams and then eventually coming back together when Doom resurfaces (or whatever)... but so far, not a peep from Marvel about the original foundation of the Marvel Universe!

Leonard Kirk is great artist and James Robinson is good writer...Unfortunately, not a fan of Squadron Supreme. Why I want the fake who is meh and bland (Squadron Supreme) compare to the original who superstar in comics for more than 60-70 years (Justice League) ?

I picked up Squadron Supreme #1 not expecting much, but I really really enjoyed it, so this news makes me very happy!

Something that actually interests me.

1.) because they can do things with them that dc would never do with there characters.

2.) people want to see some marvel writers & artist on dc type characters.

3.) some like them more than the original dc characters, i like wonder woman's mythos more, but i like the JMS Zarda more as a individual than Diana.
