I don't know if this topic has been done yet but... Will Marvel bring Peter Back ? I don't like Ock as Spider-Man its not right. Kind of like if you wanted to make a movie about Bruce Lee and casted pee wee herman for the part.
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17246 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
Will Peter Be Back ?
@kid_omega_prime: lol
I do hope he comes back. He won't come back soon though...
I don't know if this topic has been done yet
You can't be serious, all you need to do is glance at the Spider-Man forums to know that this exact thread has been made millions of times since Superior first came out.
I think Otto will have a long run as the Web-Head, as confirmed with the new "Mighty" hype going on.
While he is a classic, Spider-Man seems kinda forced nowadays. Most of his main baddies and conflicts in New York have faded. And hes implemented in so many Avengers tales.
So either Otto keeps on rolling, or...
I am thinking he'll have to stop Otto from doing something mega bad by psychic warfare, but it kills both of their minds, in a sense. Then maybe a new Spidey will rise, or maybe he can be put to rest.
Live in a hall of fame of sorts, better than what they did in the Ultimate Universe, but still.
Of course hes coming back, you wouldn't know it though with the way his fanboys cry in every single Superior Spider-Man comic review or any thread that even mentions Spider-Man.

They wouldn't have a problem if Spock wasn't an unlikable prick
He'll be back in time for the new movie...cause thats how **** works these days...
Lets hope the "do it like the movie" policy works.

Marvel's flagship character returning?
Nah, that's too silly.
Yep...this...can't believe people question otherwise.
Hopefully when Pete comes back he's going to be an actual relatible young guy with powers instead of this super science wiz that ether invents his way out of trouble or just calls the Avengers.

So what you're saying is that you hope that when Pete comes back, it won't be Pete.

No........ When Pete comes back I want him to be Peter Parker not god damn Iron Man dressed as a spider

So, Bugle era Parker or Horizon era Parker just "fixed" ? (If that makes sense)

Well, that's not what you said at first. "... actual relatable young guy with powers, instead of this super science wiz that either invents his way out of trouble... "
Peter has always been a science wiz. Even if he's not using an invention made for the purpose (which he was doing way before the job at Horizon anyway) he's still using his intellect to gain the advantage of the situation.
A side note. Not exactly targeted towards you, but people in general. People like to throw around the word relatable lightly, as if there's a clear cut way to ensure that a character is relatable. There really isn't, and as such, your argument is flawed from the getgo, because while something isn't relatable to you that doesn't mean the same applies to everyone else. I don't find SpOck relatable at all, because he's a contemptuous asshole. I do find Peter relatable because he has clear cut concerns (even though he's often written as a complete idiot in some regards coughnoonediesvowcough) and has endearing flaws rather than well... contemptuous ones.
What powers he has or does not have isn't a factor in that aspect.
@bogey
"He's still Spider Man, just less Peter more Ock."
Fixed that for you.
Kind of a dumb question. Every Hero in Marvel eventually comes back. Hopefully when they do bring Pete back its in a surprising or inventive way.
HE WONT BE BACK,SPIDER-MAN IS OCTAPUS NOW,DEAL WITH IT FANBOYS!!!
Yeah, sure. Dude, Spiderman has been Peter Parker since it was written by stan lee in the 1960's. You can't even relate to Ock. It is the worst thing Marvel has ever done.

duh!!
Do you people even read, members' previous posts, and then post your own reply?!....
Peter Parker is Spider-Man? Holy cow they told his secret identity!
No,dude. They are still covering it by saying that Octapus is Spider-Man.
I guess I'm one of the few that actually like SpidOck. I've always wanted to seen a more serious and darker version of Spider-Man. Peter's morals seems to alway be holding him back in situations where he should be dominating. So that's why I like SpidOck and Kaine.
I also feel if Ock is put in a life or death situation where there is a possibility he might have to sacrafice his life to save another that he will fail. So I guess that's what really separate Peter from Otto. But I feel Otto is trying very hard to be the best "hero" he can be. His views are somewhat twisted, but I kinda get it. And that why I and a few others find intriguing.
I know I might get lynched for saying this, but I hope Peter doesn't come back for a while or atleast till Otto gets his 100th issue
@visemoon: I'm with you in that I like Ock as Spider-Man, in that it's something a little different and fresh. If a villain ever took over another hero's body, they'd try and take over the world/do some damage. Doc decided to put a massive middle finger up to Parker's life and be a better man than he ever was, which is massively at odds with the methods he used to get a new lease on life.
I like Doc Ock as Spidey because it shows what Peter could be if he really applied himself. Granted his methods, such as the savage beatings and even killing are not in keeping with a hero, that's the entire point. You're supposed to disapprove. You're supposed to hate the fact that he's stolen Peter's life and is doing all this vicious stuff in his name. You're supposed to feel conflicted. That's the point. He does bad things for the right reasons and it's supposed to make you wonder if the ends truly justify the means
People whined about the death of Dick Grayson in Injustice, calling it cheap and weak. That was the point. It was a sudden, shocking, petty way to die and a waste of life and you were supposed to feel those things. That's not bad writing. That's great writing.
I'd like to see Pete come back, but right now Superior Spider-Man rocks and to cut it short would be a damn shame
