What is Spider-Man's healing factor like?
" @G'bandit: What about Venom and Carnage? "Venom and Carnage are symbiotes which can protect its host from most damage even knife wounds etc. as for healing, well since its a symbiote meaning it fuses with the host and knowing that symbiotes can be altered in size and shape I would assume that it can heal wounds quite fast as well. Since trhey become one being. It should benefit in healing.
It doesn't exactly list as an actual "factor" since it doesn't have imediate fight use. If you stab his heart, he will not be able to wait a "few days" to heal and therefore dies. It's better to say, to avoid confusion, that he's just a tough guy. Period.
" @G'bandit: But Venom and Carnage can not heal from explosives, decapitation or the host body's legs or arms being cut off right? %Pr "No, if the host dies the symbiote must find a new one.. But wounds, like, let say, a slash to the arm of the host I bet is possible to cure.
"i dnt think cap actually has a healing factor. He mst likely heals better since he is in perfect health so his body functions and whte blood celss can fight of disease and heal bad injury better "His body has been pushed to the highest it can go, same as his healing abilities, but I'm wondering if anyone (humans too) have a healing factor, but Wolverine and Deapools are just super charged
A funny healing feat from Spider-Man came in an issue where Spider-Man comes down with a fever and eventually staggers into a hospital to receive treatment. He blacks out and recovers for a while.
Also, when Spider-Man gets shot, he recovered from a bullet wound overnight to the point that it was almost perfectly healed with no scar.
The Amazing one does not have a healing factor. He heals faster than a normal person sure, but that does mean he has a heal factor. Healing factors are people like Hulk, Wolverine, Sabretooth and Deadpool. The Amazing One does not fall into this category
New vulture destroyed spidey's eyeballs with acid breath. He regained vision after 2 days.
Ultimate Hulk ripped out Ultimate Wolvie's eyeball in Ultimate Marvel: Hulk vs Wolverine. Wolvie put on an eyepatch (Nick Fury tells him "You're stealing my look. ") and takes it off with a fully healed eye after an 8 hour plane ride.
Does anyone have scans from The amazing Spider-Man issues 700.3 to 700.4? In that one Pete had third degree burns EVERYWHERE and healed in an unknown amount of time (even his freaking hair grew back). I'm guessing it took place at a little over a day (maybe slightly less).
..Interesting concept this, because if Spidey does "everything a spider car", he should be able to re-grow limbs. A spider can re-grow lost legs until it is "mature", i.e. old and seeing as Spiderman is barely out of his teens, he doesn't qualify as "mature" yet. So if any character should have a decent healing factor, it should be Spiderman, yet it isn't something really dealt with that much in the comics. Sure, he recovers from bad injuries quickly, much quicker than a normal person would, but arguably so does Batman!
..It should be above Caps level. Cap's super-soldier serum means his body fights infections and toxins, hence why he cant get drunk and he can clearly take much more punishment than a normal guy, but he is still only "peak human" or "mildly super-powered". In fairness Cap was hospitalised in the winter soldier film after being shot 3 or 4 times and falling into the water, which is fair enough. For the reasons explained above Spiderman should be way above this. Not Wolverine/Deadpool level granted.
If my calculations are right, the time it took spidey to heal from that was
|2 days||3 hours||51 minutes|
Probably a little sooner considering he looked good as new when he left the building and must have taken some time to get back to his apartment. But safe to say we can round it out to about 2 days at least.
