Surely only Peter Parker is Peter Parker, right?

I'm glad the reboot's comin' and if Logan Lerman get's the part I'm sure the producers wont make the choice lightly.

    1. The first few movies were good.
    2. It's only been three years since the last movie.
    3. I dislike Spider-Man post-OMD, which is probably what this Spider-Man will be like.

That's lame. Personally I mostly just grew up with the Spider-Man cartoon show, and a lot of the comic fans I know got into him in the 80's, and in both instances he wasn't a High School nerd, he was a pretty normal adult guy...

Sam Raimi did not destroy Spider-Man 3, the studio destroyed Spider-Man 3. Sam had a very clear picture of what he wanted for 3, and that was the Sandman arc, and Sony like a bunch of whining 2 year olds said that Sandman wasn't big enough to hold up as the solo villain, so they forced him to write Venom and New Goblin in at the last minute. This in turn made the film bad, because Sam did not have the time needed to fully integrate the two into his script, and it's apparent when watching the film. Sam Raimi is an amazing director far far superior to Marc Webb (not saying Webb isn't good, because I did like 500 days of summer).

And to re-boot an entire franchise over one bad movie, out of 3 is freaking retarded. They should have just let Raimi stay on and do the Spider-Man he wanted to do.

well i think sam is a good director. just not a good writer. he and his brother wrote spidey3 instead of leaving it to professional writers like the first 2 movies.plus spidey is suppose to be a comedian--his biggest trait was left out of all the movies--which was upsetting

    1. The first few movies were good.

No. Only the second Spiderman movie was good. The 1st one was horrible with the Green Goblin looking like a power ranger outfit with a coned head. Then the third one had way to much shit going on in it.

I hope that in the 4th one that they just stick to a one villian movie. The Lizard is enough for a movie.

I completely agree with that from the point of view of a huge comic fan but you have to bare in mind that what ever they do with the movies they have to make them enjoyable for a wiiiiide audience :/
the niche audience of comic fans obv appreciate the subtleties and the refernces to the comics but little kids who know nothing of spider-man external to the movies need something to hook them in ie. stupid dancing and crappy explanations of the symbiote...

I would quite like a reboot BUT only if it is extremely similar to the comics, i dont want to see it made realistic or modernised, i want high school pete falling inlove with gwen in science class :D
