@rabumalal: I wasn't discrediting you, I was just pointing out that some of the post OMD Spider-Man you liked weren't written by Slott. Simple as that. I'm sure you've read plenty of Spider-Man comics as has everyone posting on here, we're all Spider-Man fans despite differences in opinion.
What's wrong with using Annie? She brings another angle to the Spider-Man comics that isn't usually explored. MJ being a hero is a little weird I can admit as she could be shown as heroic in other ways than doing what Peter does but there's also nothing wrong with depicting her as capable. You can't blame people for wanting the marriage to return, Spider-Man has regressed and gone downhill since OMD and the marriage has been accepted amongst the fans as favourable before it was erased. Fans want Peter to grow up, they want to see him mature and develop and not repeat the same steps and stories over again. I've only heard about RYV online but I really don't care about Amazing whatsoever, Slott is making it boring as hell and I prefer the pre OMD setup. That's the Spider-Man I want to see again.
As for Superman, you're talking to the wrong guy about it. I love the Superman comics right now, they're better than they've been in years. The New 52 was not good on Superman and although New 52 Superman was pushed under the bus for the Pre Flashpoint Superman, what we have is so much better. Better writing, better stories, a better direction and a better emphasis on family through Jon. I don't think Marvel will merge the RYV and main universe Spider-Man together either but you can't blame the fans for wanting that.
