it is not needed because there is an Identical thread that is basically the same as this thread but it is in use. What is the point of having two almost identical threads pinned?

How does it provide another place of discussion if no one is using this page? I doubt that people read this page, and If this page was unpinned it would slip down the Discussion list into obscurity. I don't think my opinion trumps all, I like how you try to find something that is not even there to prove your point.
