    Jackpot's Identity Revealed

    The Story:
Spider-Man must overcome the Shocker as he derails the train he was on. While saving all the passengers Spider-Man meets J. Jonah Jameson Sr. who apologizes for his sons actions towards Spider-Man. Jackpot helps Spider-Man against Blindside. Spider-Man figures out Jackpot's real identity and that she takes drugs to get her powers. Spider-Man tracks down a villain called The Blank who robbed a bank Aunt May was in and almost hurt her. Harry and Peter visit Harry's ex-wife when her step-brother the Molten Man attacks Harry.

    My Thoughts:
One thing I don't like about the Amazing Spider-Man series is that the writers and artists are constantly switching. Story-wise here, it is better then previous issues and I do feel like it's starting to pick up and things are moving forward which is great. I feel like a lot happened in this volume and it's starting to feel like a true Spider-Man comic once again. However, one thing I haven't liked is the lackluster villains who are incredibly boring and lack real character depth. I was extremely excited to see the Shocker here, one of Spider-Man's long-time enemies. But the character "The Blank" was a swing and a miss if you ask me.

I'm glad they continued to explore the character of Jackpot as we finally find out her real secret identity. It might not have been as exciting as you thought it was going to be but it's still nice to find out who she is. What was truly surprising was the fact that she was on drugs to gain her powers. I also liked how they added J. Jonah Jameson's father into the mix. I'm curious to see if he'll play a bigger part down the road.

The art tends to be inconsistent in this series as it seems like every issue we get a different artist. Some of the art in this volume I really liked a lot while other parts were satisfactory. I really think they should just stick with one artist. I don't like different art styles switching back and forth every issue.

This volume definitely gave us things to think about(will the original Jackpot return?) and things to be happy about(Shocker returning). As I stated earlier this is definitely better than previous issues and I feel like the story is heading in a better direction and I'm curious to find out what happens next. Definitely worth the read!
