    His memory of the last 500 years gone, this mysterious teenager seems to be like any other insatiably hungry, curious, hyperactive teen, who also happens to be insanely powerful and goes utterly berzerk if his coronet gets removed. Completely faithful to Genjyo Sanzo, who freed him from a prison he has no idea why he was in, he follows him loyally on the priest's journey to the west.

    Note before origins and such:

    YES, Goku is the Monkey King from Journey to the West. YES, he is also inspired by/meant to be a version of Goku from Dragonball Z, as per creator Kazuya Minekura.
