    Sinestro

Character » Sinestro appears in 1188 issues.

Once considered the greatest Green Lantern in any sector, Sinestro came to believe that the only way to ensure order in the universe was through the reign of fear, a crime for which the Guardians banished him to Qward. There he created the first yellow power ring and later on founded his own corps, The Sinestro Corps. He has clashed frequently with his former student and protege; Hal Jordan. The relationship between the two is a complicated one, a mixture of both hatred and respect in equal measures.

I actually really like McMahon but he's wrong for this part. He doesn't do "dignified and sinister" very well, as evidenced by his failure as Dr. Doom. He needs to play a character with swagger. Honestly if he were younger he'd make an adequate Hal Jordan, but Sinestro? Certainly not. Mark Strong is the best Sinestro we're ever going to get, but sadly since it looks like GL is getting wiped from the DCCU we'll probably lose him forever.

@joygirl: What happened to Doctor Doom in those movies is so not his fault. Also, Doctor Doom and Sinestro are so not the same character.

That is just so wrong. Sinestro could be portrayed by either Mark Strong (which happened) or Jason Isaacs (which also happened but it was just his voice).

I liked both the Dr. Doom and the Sinestro movie versions.
