Gabe and a friend are exploring Sof. It is here they meet a family neither have ever met before. Their kindness makes Gabe's realize that the people of Earth do need saving. He can make a difference and make the human race better than it is now.

Back at Annie Laronde's house, Elvis has decided to turn Ellie over to the authorities. While Ellie and Denise sleep, he injects Ellie was a drug to put her out. He does the same to Denise. A special team arrives and takes Ellie away in a special capsule. Elvis seems to be remorseful and is paid for his services.

The Silver Surfer arrives back at the Great Ark and informs Amnel that the plan has changed. The Ark will go to Sof instead of Earth, for Earth will be totally destroyed. Amnel does not wish to abandon the Earth, but the Surfer will do what he must.

Denise awakens alongside Annie. Ellie is gone and the only thing left behind is the metal sphere which was given to her by Amnel. Annie suggests they rest until the drug wears off, but Denise rushes out and takes a truck to get her revenge on Elvis. As she is driving she passes out and crashes, giving her severe injuries. The sphere she had from Ellie transports her to the Great Ark.
