Siege Embedded #1 Review
I enjoyed this book more than Siege #1. I find it somewhat amusing that people (not just G-Man) are complaining about things not being included in the main book, but then also complaining that the main book feels rushed. This is all a result of people saying that 8-issue events are too long and drawn out. Note to Marvel/Bendis: 6 issues next time.
It sounds disappointing. It also sounds as if they way they're publishing Siege is purposefully to mirror Civil War in every way possible.
" It also sounds as if they way they're publishing Siege is purposefully to mirror Civil War in every way possible. "If only they had made it 7 issues instead of 4, it would be the same event, but in reverse. Civil War divided the heroes, Siege reunites them. The whole thing...

I've been waiting for a mini like Embedded but I would have prefered a mini during Dark Reign to see the reactions from the media and the public in regards to Osborns actions, etc. It was Norman's use of the media that granted him the "keys to the kingdom" but I guess it's only fitting we get a mini during his downfall.
@G-Man:
Yes, the whole review was ruined for me. Just kidding.

Actually, I'm getting the impression that The Seige is mirroring something else, but from real world events.
It'll be a lot of people taking Osborn down. I like how he's been on top for song long. they've made Osborn step up, and almost become like the new Doom being an every mans villian instead of just Spiderman. He's like the Lex Luther of Marvel. I want to see if he ever becomes the Green Goblin anymore, is the that beneath him now.
" Why can't Norman be crazy and have a plan? That's pretty much been his life story. I saw the preview of this comic. The gut at the beginning reminds me of Glen Beck. Only thing missing was the crying and the pushing gold. lolYep, same feeling. Not sure I agree with all these inferences but it is all just the writers impression. Marvel usually is pretty political or atleast a lot more political than DC

i think it's predictable.
I think the event's of Franken-Castle are building up to help Punisher gather an army of monsters to attack and defeat Osbourne and H.A.M.M.E.R. i really believe that's where all this is headed. kind of easy to see.
But mabye Marvel will surprise me, but honestly I have been dissapointed with all of marvels recent events.
" I hope President Obama and Captain America take down Osborn. p.s. completly called the "tie-ins" issue. Marvel tries to fool us by making the event last less time, but Grim knew better... "he is going make a law that evil doers can own country they conquer for the Mighty USAM (Usa Marvel)
and Cap slams his shield in normans face says 'SHIELD is mighter then the HAMMER'
" I haven't been impressed with Siege overall.. yet. But it's still early, and i'll give it a chance. With it only being a 4 issue mini, I'm wondering how much of the tie-ins will be necessary. It seems like it should be a bigger story than just four issues. "they made so much fuzz about Marvel siege and they say it is an important timeperoid for marvel but they dont thread it that way
