Ballistic seeks to join the 'Real World' group Blood Pack, but an incident on the freeway throws a monkey wrench into those plans when he meets the lethal Loria. Triumph, the time-lost hero of the Justice League, seeks to win back his old life in the wake of ZERO HOUR and is confronted by the menace of the villain Freelance in a story by Brian Augustyn, with pencils by Kevin Sharpe. Oracle – A Little Knowledge
Someone is harassing Barbara Gordon. First, it starts with a threatening call; then a knife with a letter stuck on her door; then gunshots when she’s on her way home. Barbara finds it hard to adjust to the threats with her new handicap. After getting a confidence boost from Batman, Barbara sets a trap for her harasser.
Ballistic – Love at First Sight
On the way to his interview to join the Blood Pack, Ballistic comes across a super-powered New Blood in a fight with his wife. Ballistic intervenes to stop the husband, but he proves too powerful. Ballistic is soon joined by Loria, and the two drop the husband. Ballistic makes it to the audition, and he and Loria join the Blood Pack.
Triumph – Lost Time
Triumph is off to visit a mall in New Jersey. He is trying to track down an old flame, Melinda, in an attempt to try to pick up the pieces of the life he lost. Before he can approach Melinda, however, the mall is attacked by a super-villain named Freelance and his team. Triumph defeats Freelance easily, but freezes when he’s confronted by Melinda. He lies about his true identity, and leaves.
