Nick Fury, because he's NICK FURY. He's the toughest, craftiest old soldier in the Marvel U. Even David Hasselhoff couldn't make him uncool.

Rick Stoner, if memory serves, was the first director of SHIELD [as it stands, I think Hickman plans on making SHIELD to have existed long before Stoner became director]. He didn't really do anything, he served as Director until he was killed off by Hydra, I think.

Hmmm.... Thats a tough one... I think I'll go with Dugans stache though. It could keep shooting out hairs from it's nearly infinite supply to keep the patch at bay then sandpaper the sh!t out of it once it is beyond tired from all the dodging. I'm not saying it wont be a tough fight after all the patch does have a great deal of endurance and durability, but that stache doesn't even move in hurricane force winds.

OK, I'm not really sure what is going on in this thread, but I'd say Dugan is second best.
