I haven't read alot of Captain Marvel/Shazam comics, but from what I can find about this comic and the characters, I became a fan of it. I mean, whats not to like? A young boy says a word and becomes a grown-up with Superpowers, with a completely unique cast of supporting characters and villains. This is why I was relatively peeved how they basically put the Marvels on the sideline in the last couple of years. After Infinite Crisis, Billy inherited the role of Wizard which had do hardly anything...

Yet Another Reason Why I Hate Fiorentino's Art 0

The Good: The emotions of Mary and Billy were pretty touching. Overall, it's a VERY good recap of the current status of the Marvel family. Before this I had absolutely no idea what was going on with any of them, but this issue clearly arranges them all in their place without being too expositiony about it. Followers of my reviews likely know I am no fan of Cliff Richard's art (except on Azrael) and even less of Fabrizio Fiorentino. There were time in Titans when both did art, and I could noever ...

It's not as bad as I expected and that allowed some surprises. 0

  So finally, I was able to read this comic book (my LCBS got it a week later) and find myself finding a mix of feelings about it. Seeing once again the whole Marvel Family (sort of) working together in a continuity story was... Weird! I didn't liked Mary and Billy enjoyable at all, that's true, I actually this story did to me to see Freddy more as the hero than anything else (not that I really like it at all, but well). I just can't stand Mary, for me this character is miles away...
