Best one shot so far!

   The intention of these One-Shots seems to be to fill in back story for the main story.  Showing the motivations of the characters in the story.  This one shot is the epitome of this.  I also really loved the art in this issue.  But I would say that the art across all of the Shadowlands issues is of the same high quality.  I can only hope that all these one shots and side stories appear the inevitable collected graphic novel.  I love Elektra and this story is a really good one, even if it is a one shot.  I would say that seeing Elektra here and then in Shadowlands #3 completely explains why she is there and what her true motivations are.  I can't wait to see the conclusion of this story.

Elektra ponders how she handle the "heel turn" of her former lover and Hand usurper, Daredevil, whilst in the middle of two very intense back-to-back bouts with armed goons and ninjas.  The Good   Now, this is an Elektra we rarely get to see! Wells has a perfect handle on this character who's simultaneously a killing machine and an introspective philosopher. I'm glad they went the way of a parental advisory comic here because frankly anything involving Elektra should be pretty damn violent. In deconstructing the importance of Shadowland to Daredevil, Elektra is one of the primary players you'd expect to see, but it took her a little while to get embroiled in the arc.
