Uh... No. That is notwhat happened. Nowhere in the comic did it hint he was "hurt." I know people such as yourself who have a low opinion of the character want it to be that way but the comic clearly states that Sentry was not in full control due to the dark energy from the Void. If anything all they were doing was annoying the Sentry. More importantly the dialogue states that they are trying to keep the Sentry "off balance." So yea I suggest you read the comic again. This is the same merged Sentry that was stomping the Avengers(a much stronger team) in his recent solo. If you think this is a consistent showing for the Sentry then I don't know what to tell you....

No i don't want it to be that way, Merged Sentry should be several tiers above even Thor, let alone all those street tiers there, they should be less than flies to him. Sentry wasn't in full control when he fought WWH and yet he still a lot better there than here and he wasn't even merged in that comic. Again they should NOT be able to keep him off balance, that's the point. Not even Thor, though in his case it could be forgiven but those street tiers? Literally kicking him around and having him cry out in pain, restraining him with a freaking stick? That's just stupid. I think Sentry gets overrated a lot and he is definitely inconsistent but no i don't think this is how he should be portrayed, this was obviously bad writing.

I don't see that recent issue as a low showing to be honest unless we ignore the context. @iflated3go Once again Sentry was being affected by the Void's dark energy which was causing the mess. Heck he was thinking everything was fine. You can't compare the WWH situation with this one as Sentry was aggressively engaging the Hulk. Here he was rarely doing anything besides attacking Thor.

And I was mostly getting at you calling him inconsistent but most importantly "overrated." Overrated? Sentry is probably the most HATED character here on comicvine and maybe comics in GENERAL. lol.

I know Sentry was being affected by the Voids dark energies and it was making him unstable but in the same issue he goes blow for blow with Thor, but then also gets hurt by street tiers and restrained and even stunned by them, that's just bad writing all around. I mean as it's been said before many times, you can't hold back your durability.

I am sure you have seen "Sentry is multiversal" stuff before, he has been pretty overrated as a character, mostly because he is so inconsistent and relies a lot on author statements. Sentry is not the most hated character on comicvine or comics in general, you are having a persecution complex. They are way more popular characters with way more haters out there.

One can argue he went "blow to blow" with Thor considering Thor is marginally more powerful than the rest. We even see him fly past the others to attack Thor. That should tell you something. And like I said I still do not see where Sentry was "hurt." It seems the definition of "hurt" has different meaning. Either way Sentry was not at his best here. And many powerhouses have been slapped around(due to context) by street levelers. As for restrained? Once again Sentry wasn't even trying to fight.

As for the multiversal stuff? That was from a FEW zealous Sentry fans YEARS ago who are no longer on here(thank GOD!). Heck the multiversal nonsense which I helped debunk. Anyways, you clearly haven't been on here long enough(no offense). I've been on this site since 2010 and Sentry was always hated even before the multiversal nonsense. Heck, he is just as hated on other sites. There is no persecution complex my friend. And as for his "inconsistencies" its mostly due to his powers being connected to his mental state and so his powers go up and down similar to Gladiator's. Which everyone ignores. The Sentry is NOT "overrated." lol.

I mean he was fighting Thor just fine and even if lets say he ignored all the street tiers, the effect of a street tier trying to restrain him shouldn't be him tilting back and grunting in pain, it should be more like this

Actually i saw someone call Sentry multiversal just a few weeks ago, maybe they were trolling but even without the mutliversal stuff he gets highly overrated considering his feats aren't all that great tbh. And the inconsistencies have been there even when he is completely stable.

Discomfort doesn't necessarily mean in pain. Anyways I just we agree-disagree. I don't see it as neither a low showing or good showing.

He did say that Jenkins and Lee's Sentry and Inhumans series is one of his favourites and he has been a great influence to him. It was in his recent interview with Syfy.

We FINALLY may get Sentry vs Silver Surfer? Will us Sentry fans finally be proven right? Or will Marvel further humiliate the character? Seriously I can not wait... This issue will make or break the character.

This is a foreplay and facing Surfer will be a way to shape the characters even more.
