The news for SECRET WARS isn't done yet! This time, there's a two-part limited series coming to SECRET WARS called CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND THE MIGHTY DEFENDERS written by Al Ewing and drawn by Alan Davis.

Here's the description for the upcoming book, from an interview with Blastr:

- Welcome to Battleworld - where, in what's left of Mondo-City One, Boss Cage is the law!

- When the fascist futuropolis annexes neighboring Yinsen City, who'll stand up for Ho Yinsen's dream of universal peace?

- If you liked the Mighty Avengers -- you'll love the Mighty Defenders!

During the interview, it's revealed that Faiza Hussain will be taking the role of Captain Britain once again and teaming up with White Tiger, Kid Rescue, Hobie Brown, and She-Hulk.

Ewing says that the book takes place on the border of two locations: Mondo City, where Boss Cage hangs out and Yinsen City, from IRON MAN: FATAL FRONTIER.

Ewing settled on a using smaller team made up of characters he really liked. The world these characters inhabits does touch on Age of Ultron, from when Hussain became Captain Britain, but also Ewing picked Mondo City because he's a huge Judge Dredd fan and worked on the strip before. Mondo City touches on a lot of Dredd elements.

Al Ewing....hmmm I'm not really interested in any of the characters but I might pick it up for that writer I am really liking Loki's series I respect a writer that can build a good story without ignoring how past writers shape a character and furthermore uses past experiences in their current plot.

more cannon fodder for secret wars? characters absolutely nobody cares about ....im gonna be broke this summer trying to collect all this ...stop marvel its enough of the" what if?" type heroes ,,,its not original ...just variations of the same ...at least convergence is using actual characters that have actually appeared in comics before..i hope this all ties into the main story...I got a feeling people will be disappointed ..the last few events left much to be desired so my confidence level is diminishing with each announcement ....but im hoping for the best this might be the time to end my marvel collection

except these are alternate versions of she hulk ,white tiger and faiza not the ones you read about.. these characters had totally different lives and are not from earth 616 ...they are what if types

@sasquatch888: Yes, I know, but I don't know how will be the marvel universe after Evereything Ends... perhaps that will be the "real" character in the new universe... or some of them... I've the strange feeling that many hero will be substituited white new "rebooted" version presented in Battleword/Etc [while other will remain the same]... so I care couse I'm curious :)

And anyway, I was a great fan of The Exiles, and I really love alternate version character and parallel universe :)

When Angela Del Toro was White Tiger you almost never saw her accept for in Daredevil comics but now that Ava Ayala has the mantle she's EVERYWHERE!? Not fair! Also can we get a redesign on Rescue's helmet? She looks ridiculous...

you have a good point exiles was great ,,,I loved that book so much but when they relaunched it was terrible but that first run was amazing especially the story arc with hyperion and the arc with proteus

Man, I like every member of that team. It's just too bad it's a Secret Wars book. Also, @yung_ancient_one, a long time ago in The Amazing Spider-Man #87 - Unmasked at Last! Spidey hooked up the Prowler (Hobie Brown) with a copy of the Spider-Man costume and asked him as a favor to pose as Spidey. This ruse protected Peter's secret identity at the time. In whatever parallel world the Mighty Defenders hail from, Hobie Brown has obviously become Spider-Man, integrating his Prowler gear with the wall-crawler's distinctive uniform.

Really? So not only did a boring nobody like Faiza get given Excalibur now she's Captain Britain? The real Cap (Braddock) is a great character when written correctly, I genuinely don't see why anyone would be more interested in seeing Faiza over Brian.

@jonny_anonymous: I agree about Angela, she was a more interesting character than Ava and I also don't like that there has been no explanation as to her whereabouts or how Ava gained the amulets.
