Captains Cataclysmic!
Captain Comet and Hawkman are in the monitor room of the Justice League Satellite when they get word of a research space station being invaded by three super-villains. Captain Comet, who has been hoping to apprehend his former Secret Society of Super-Villains teammates, interrupts the crime in process. Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, and Captain Stingaree are attempting to kidnap the captain of the station. The hero and villains come to blows, but Captain Stingaree takes the station captain hostage. Captain Comet is forced to let them escape. Next, the villains kidnap the captain of the world's largest cruise ship.
Realizing he'll need the help of the League if he wants to track down the rest of the Society, Captain Comet approaches Green Arrow and Black Canary for help. Green Arrow is unwilling to aid the golden age hero, but Black Canary offers her assistance.
At Star Stadium the three captains stage their next kidnapping. This time their victim is the captain of Star City's football team. Captain Comet and Black Canary successfully apprehend the villains. Captain Stingaree accidentally reveals to Captain Comet that the other two kidnapped captains are being held in a trap that will slowly freeze them to death. The heroes save the victims just in time.
Back at Sinister Citadel, Copperhead returns with the mysterious figure who broke him out of prison in Secret Society of Super-Villains #3 - War for Earthdeath!
