    "THE HOME STRETCH". Ralph and Sue Dibny return to Ralph's hometown for his 30th birthday party and family reunion, where Ralph relates his origin to a certain scarlet speedster. "THE SECERET ORIGIN OF PLASTIC MAN" After a being shot during a robbery and left behind by his fellow thieves, Eel O'Brien becomes Plastic Man and decides to get revenge on the gang that left him behind.

    1. "The Home Stretch" scripted by Gerard Jones, penciled by Ty Templeton, inked by Grant Miehm, colored by Julianna Ferriter and lettered by Tim Harkins.
    2. "The Secret Origin of Plastic Man" written by Roy Thomas, penciled by Stephen DeStefano, inked by Paul Fricke, colored by Liz Berube and lettered by Jean Simek.
    3. "Secrets Behind the Origins:" 2/3 page text piece on the histories of the Elongated Man by Peter Sanderson, the Plastic Man by Roy Thomas.

    Note: Most characters have cameo appearances. The Plastic Man story is based off of Police Comics #1. Elongated Man's story is based around a party in his home town honoring him. Plastic Man is told in the campy style common to his golden age comic book.

    Classy, just the like the characters themselves 0

    I felt the need today to bit of research into the stretching DC superheroes, and remembered this old issue in Secret Origins.   First of all I should say that for anyone who has never picked up a copy of this series from the 80s, the series may sometimes lack a little bit in action, but the writing was almost always top notch. This issue was no exception.   It tells two background stories, one for Elongated Man and one for Plastic Man.   The stories are told almost perfectly in relation to the c...
