“THE SECRET ORIGIN OF THE ATOM.” Ray Palmer recounts his origin to Laethwen and Voss. “THE SECRET ORIGIN OF MR. AMERICA, ALIAS THE AMERICOMMANDO.” When World War II breaks out, Tex Thompson is asked by the government to become a spy deep inside Germany, and he adopts a new identity--the Americommando!

  3. "The Secret Origin of Mr. America alias Americommando" written by Roy Thomas, penciled and inked by Mike Harris, colored by Carl Gafford and lettered by David C. Weiss.
  4. "Secrets Behind the Origins:" 1 page text piece on the histories of The Atom by Peter Sanderson, the golden-age Red Tornado and Mr. America / Americommando by Roy Thomas.

Note: Most characters have cameo appearances. Henry Stimson congratulates Americommado, but he is not seen.
