    Nightshade's mother was a princess from another dimension, imparting to her great powers…then her family was torn apart and she fled to Earth.

    2. "A Princess' Story" written by Robert Greenberger, penciled by Rob Liefeld, inked by Bob Lewis, colored by Carl Gafford and lettered by John Costanza.
    3. "The Secret Origin of Midnight" written by Roy Thomas, penciled and inked by Gil Kane, colored by Tom Ziuko and lettered by Jean Simek.
    4. "Secrets Behind the Origins:" 2/3 page text piece on the histories of Nightshade by Bob Greenberger and Midnight by Roy Thomas.

    Note: Most characters have cameo appearances. The Nightshade story sets up the story arc in Suicide Squad #14-16. The Midnight story is based off of Smash Comics #18. The last page of the Midnight story is a splash page showing Midnight and two of his later sidekicks Doc Wackney and Gabby the talking monkey.
