    “BEFORE AND AFTER SCIENCE.” Jack Ryder is captured by a mob boss, drugged and left for dead. That does not stop him from returning as the Creeper! “THE TALE OF THE GREEN LANTERN!” A piece of the Starheart travels to ancient Earth, where it is shaped into a lantern that eventually falls into the hands of Alan Scott, who becomes the first Green Lantern!

    1. "Before and After Science" written/plot by Andy Helfer, penciled/plot by Keith Giffen, inked by Rick Bryant, colored by Carl Gafford and lettered by John Costanza.
    2. "The Tale of Green Lantern" written by Roy Thomas, penciled and inked by George Freeman, colored by Anthony Tollin and lettered by Jean Simek.
    3. "Secrets Behind the Origins Dept.:" 1/2 page text piece on the history of the Golden Age Green Lantern by Roy Thomas.

    Note: The Golden Age Green Lantern story is based off of All-American Comics issues #16-18.
