No idea's simple when you need to plant it in somebody elses mind
As with when any groundbreaking movie hits the big screen, other fiction will come along relatively soon after and try to emulate it. This is the case with this issue which has a definite "Inception" like quality about it. That is not to say it is bad, and in fact it is one of the first times I have seen a story told like this in comics. John Steele is linked up to a machine which provides an insight into his memories. The team is having a hard time deciphering them so they decide to hook up Steve to figure what is behind a mission they did together. This follows mostly a pretty typical narrative, but then comes some of the moments where the issue is more emulating the movie. Overall though it was written well enough to hold the attention and the twist was pulled off pretty well.
