Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World 1

In my review for the first book I mentioned that I struggled through it the first time. That is true. That is also true with this book, but for the life of me, I can't remember why. You see, when I started Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, I was reading it online and only read a little bit of the beginning. However, after reading the books over again, I gotta say, they're a thing of beauty. Book 2 here is where things really start to pick up, and Scott Pilgrim truly shows his potential for greatness....

Dude, if you are not on the Scott Pilgrim series, get on that and read book one now!  Book two gets better!  What can I say Scott Pilgrim is a fun ride. Scott gets a new Hair cut, the Amazon.ca chick is hot and two major fights!  One evil ex-down.  Now the pro-skateboarding Evil Ex is looking to take out Scott.  In Book 2 of the series, Scott is coming to into high-speed.... He dumped his High School Girlfriend for Remona Flowers the Amazon.ca chick and has committed to fighting for her Love. En...

My mind was just blown. AGAIN. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World may surpass the original book, and that is a huge feat. But, same deal as last time; before I get to the (many) positives I’ll do the (very few) negatives, so that it doesn’t come off as (completely) one-sided. Hmmm, let’s see…. Bryan Lee O’Malley’s writing is ...

Awesome, funny, and well... epic. 0

Never heard of Scott Pilgrim before the awesome movie came out. If you can't tell by that sentence, I LOVED the movie, completely hilarious. But I'll write a separate review on that. Naturally when I saw this in my local library I snatched it, along with vol. 3 before anyone else could. Unfortunately, they only had 2 and 3, which isn't that big of a problem since I've seen the movie and it follows the plot of the books pretty closely. Now lets talk about the actual book. If, by any chance, you d...

Scott must take on Ramona's second evil ex and total sell-out Lucas Lee while dealing with exes of his own. The Art: I love all of the video game references and the manga style works great here. The Story: It's is so damn funny and crazy! The character interaction is hilarious, Kim and Wallace are freaking hilarious! Scott is a bit of a jerk but I still can't help but root for him. What I didn't like is how short the battle with Lucas Lee is, but the book is still compelling. ...
