    Old Friends Meet Again

The New Scooby-Doo Movies is one of my favorite cartoons. I like seeing the guest stars in the show. The Three Stooges, Batman and Robin, the Addams Family, Jonathan Winters, Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller, Sandy Duncan, Sonny & Cher, Laurel & Hardy, the Harlem Globetrotters, Davy Jones, Jerry Reed, Josie and the Pussycats, Jeannie, Tim Conway, Don Adams, Speed Buggy, Cass Elliot, and Dick van Dyke. Wow, Mystery, Inc. sure teamed up with a lot of people. The Harlem Globetrotters, Davy Jones, Jerry Reed, and Josie and the Pussycats are actually mentioned in passing in this comic book. Oops! I forgot Cass Elliot. In fact, when first Batman and Robin first appear, the Mystery, Inc. gang even remember the last time they teamed up with the Dynamic Duo. Another surprise is that Batman and Robin is investigating the same thing that Mystery, Inc. is investigating: a Bat-creature terrorizing Coolsville. The only difference is that Batman and Robin have a suspect: Man-Bat. I am glad that they used Man-Bat's origin from the comic books. However, I think the scene with the shoplifters was a little bit ridiculous. One thing that interests me is the fact that the end of the first issue leads into the next issue. They certainly did not do that with The New Scooby-Doo Movies.
