Scion were a British publisher who ventured into comics in the later 1940s and early 1950s, during the period when wartime paper restrictions were gradually easing but import restrictions meant foreign comics remained in short supply. They published a series of one-shots , such as the "Big" comics in 1948 and 1949 (Big Atlantis Comic, Big Castle Comic, Big Chuckle Comic, Big Flame Comic, etc.), and the "Hero" series in 1951 and 1952 (Adventure Hero, Daring Hero, Detective Hero, Sea Hero, Sky Hero, Space Hero, etc.), as well as a few ongoing titles, such as Electroman Comics.
