Younger than I thought they would go, but I'm actually excited about this! She's a great actress. Looking forward to her performance!!
@manneffest: Aaron-Taylor Johnson is also heavily rumored to play Quicksilver - and he's really young too.
No confirmation on him yet though
@rustyroy: It was heavily rumored, I just wanted to post the official confirmation.
I've heard great things about her! What's she been in? I hope she wears close enough to the original costume. Joss Whedon is very good at writing female characters! And Wanda has powers! I'm Sold!
@maccyd: Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver are allowed to be in either film franchise, they just can't be referred to as or make any mention of mutants in this movie. Also, Marvel/Avengers owns rights to their "older" selves while X-Men/Fox have the rights to use their "younger" selves.
@maccyd: Could just use Scarlet witch and Quicksilvers original origins, children of Whizzer (bitten by snake and transfused the blood of a mongoose) and miss America (Powers from mad scientists device) this wold also allow a new form of 'mutant' what happens if MCU superheros breed? They have super children.
@hillbillymorangie: That would make for a good opportunity to explore Golden age heroes that maybe Cap inspired. Also like the comics, they'd probably change Whizzer's origin or "modernize" it.
@arturocalakayvee: Fox have their younger selves? Elizabeth Olsen is young enough at 24 (roughly), the X-men ones would probably be teenagers.
I can dig it.
Same here.
I love Scarlet Witch! I've heard good things about Elizabeth Olsen and Whedon writes great female characters. Can't wait!
Seriously an Olsen twin?
Not a twin, a sister. Elizabeth is way more prettier and talented than her sorry excuses for twin sisters.

Whoa. What the hell is that all about?
Seriously an Olsen twin?
I don't believe (though i may be wrong), that Elizabeth is one of the twins. I think she is another sister.

She's not. Mary Kate and Ashley are the twins.
It does.

Why did she get the role?
She doesn't look at all like any rendition of the Scarlet Witch.
Hollywood can careless and if she can act beware of all the "so what if she doesn't look like Scarlet Witch she can act" warriors.

You gotta trust Whedon - I remember the days of Mark Ruffalo's casting, DC fanboys crapped all over it... It was hard for me to disagree, but we were all pretty much proved wrong. The reason I was worried about Ruffalo was because he was basically an indie actor before he took on Avengers.
Olsen's kinda the same, so she should be fine.

Which casting does matter? I'm curious.

None, honestly. Hollywood has made it clear they can care less about actually doing it right and all we can do about it is complain.
@maccyd: I agree it would make for an interesting Marvel one shot on Captain America Winter Soldier DVD, also it follows the Golden Age comics and allows for the use of the original human torch, may need a lawyer ready for when fox gets an owed though lol
Also the human torch was already in captain America the first avenger... Kinda http://cf.badassdigest.com/_uploads/images/15150/humantorch__span.jpeg
And better yet, why not have the human torch die and his pieces be used to rebuild agent coulson.... To far? Ill get my coat
I don't even think because of film rights they are allowed to acknowledge that her or Quicksilver are mutants.
@hillbillymorangie: Probably would be a Cap flashback in Avengers 2 as well.
Anyway Marvel could claim that the original is a different character entirely and is no way associated with F4. Plus it appears that the contract is "if he appears on your franchises, he's yours", which the original never did. I mean c'mon if MCU could get Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, they should be able to use the original human torch.
There's my reasoning for Marvel to get the original human torch :P
Plus: They might be able to get Namor as long as mutant isn't mentioned, which isn't important to his backstory anyway.
@daredevil21134: I agree... Hints more at a link to a inhumans movie, time will tell. I prefers he idea of them growing up with their abilities though.... Oh well one and a half years to speculate ;)
Just as a side bet, how about Crystal? Could Elizabeth Olsen be a love interest for Quicksilver? Another inhuman? I bet I'd make more money if I go for that as a side bet ;) Samual L Jackson didn't say she was Scarlet Witch or even if she was a goodie or a baddie.
