When Screech creates a dating app for Bayside students, Zack schemes a way to make Kelly his perfect computer match! But Kelly's tired of guys chasing her because she's a cheerleader, and switches her profile with entomology fan Leslie. Will the ensuing ruckus give Slater the upper hand in his rivalry with Zack?
Screech's computer science project is designing a dating website exclusively for Bayside High. The goal is to help students find their perfect match. Zack blows it off at first, but then sees the advantage to finding out a girl's preferences before going on a date. Nearly the entire school signs up for the site. Lisa is turned off immediately, however, when her profile is hacked by Screech to suggest that he is her perfect match.
While Slater scores a date with triplets, Zack catches wind that Screech has a backdoor into other student's profiles. He convinces Screech to let him take a peak at Kelly's profile so as to be her perfect match.
In the girls' locker room, Kelly bemoans how many matches she got; her email inbox is full of date requests. One girl, Leslie, pipes up that she can't believe that Kelly is annoyed at the prospect of any date. She and Kelly begin talking and decide to switch profiles in hopes that the boys on the other end will be a bit more genuine than what they usually get. Leslie emails Kelly's top pick: Surprise (or not), it's Zack.
Kelly and Lisa help Leslie get ready for her date, which is at a park for a picnic. Zack, expecting Kelly, is shocked when Leslie shows up. Leslie, however, is quite taken with Zack's picnic waiter, the lizard-loving Screech. Kelly's date does not go much better, as she is paired with Herbert, an insect enthusiast. She has an idea, however, and asks Herbert to help her teach Zack a lesson in exchange for a date with Leslie.
At the Max, Zack meets with Kelly and Herbert and laments that Kelly missed her date with the perfect match. Kelly proposes a challenge: see which guy is more compatible with her. Zack bombs and proves that he is nowhere close to being a match for Kelly.
At school, Leslie and Herbert pair up and the rest of the group get rid of their dating profiles. Kelly learns, however, that Slater was her next top match and the two hit it off over sushi.
