Larry Jordan was the first hero named Air Wave, and fought during World War II as a member of the All-Star Squadron. Once he died, his helmet was passed along to his son, Harold "Hal" Jordan, who became the third Air Wave.

Once a physician until he lost his eyesight to an experiment gone wrong. Charles McNider was the first Doctor Mid-Nite and a founder of the JSA. Due to his blindness, Doctor Mid-Nite uses goggles that give him the ability of infra-red vision, allowing him to see in the dark.

Flora Styles was a stage assistant to Sargon the Sorcerer in the 1940s. She was a young mother, with her son Bobby depicted as a fan of her boss. Uncertain if she was a widow or an unwed mother.
Oliver Queen was a spoiled, thrill-seeking playboy, until he was left stranded on a deserted island for several years. There, he trained to become a master archer in order to survive. After his return home, he used his new-found skills and his wealth to became the costumed vigilante known as Green Arrow.
After the death of Abin Sur, Hal Jordan was chosen by the Green Lantern Corps to be the Green Lantern of Earth and Sector 2814. He's been one of the best and worst Green Lanterns. As the JLA's Green Lantern, Hal was glad of the help of Sargon to overcome Starbreaker.
Hawkgirl is the reincarnated spirit of Chay-Ara. Born on Thanagar, she gained the rank of lieutenant in her world and was subsequently sent to Earth on a mission, but during her stay, she grew to love Earth and care for its inhabitants, eventually becoming known to the people as the superheroine Hawkgirl.
There have been many versions of Hawkman. Usually related in some way to the planet Thanagar, Hawkman traditionally wields weapons of archaic origin and wears large wings that grant him flight. Beaten by Starbreaker along with the rest of the JLA's big-hitters, Hawkman worked with Sargon as the team overcame their intergalactic foe in the rematch.
