Sanitarium is a four issue horror comic series that revolves around the bizarre and terrifying back-stories of patients who have been committed to an eerie insane asylum. Each story is introduced by the creepy head of the institution, Dr. Stenson. A brilliant artist, Gustav, is a man obsessed with perfection, who's been offered a small fortune to sell his collection of handmade miniature figurines - only Gustav doesn't want to sell, because his 'babies' are telling him not to abandon them. Is Gustav going slowly insane, or are his little devils really manipulating him to doing their evil bidding?
