Much respect to Tyrese and his success but I have to say that if he does a comic book character, please let it be his character in his "Mayhem" comic.  Tyrese was rumored to portray Luke Cage a.k.a Power Man from Marvel Comics with John Singleton at the helm as director. He is not right for the part and John Singleton is would not be right for that movie neither would John be right for Marvel's "Black Panther".  Luke Cage was born and raised in Harlem,New York. I was raised in born and raised in Manhattan so I know aside from our accent,New Yorkers have a different swagger and attitude than Californians especailly those fom South Central or Compton. Tyrese would'nt be able to pull of the accent or Harlem, New Yorker style neccessary to have as Luke Cage. John Singleton is from California too and him doing films such as "Boyz N da Hood" & "Baby Boy" (featuring Tyrese),shows his ablitity to portray where he's from pretty well but John Singleton would'nt  be able to portray a true & realistic New York urban or streetlife feel combining it with  a superhero genre such as with Luke Cage or "Heros For Hire". They need an actor that is from the New York Tri-State area preferably NY and a Director who is from or tuly "KNOWS"  New York not just been there. This movie would have to have a dark and urban grittiness and realism like no other comic book movie has ever had but still be bright and human like "Iron Man"(movie). Get Henry Simmons,Michael Jai White or a super talented unknown actor the looks the part and can pull it off. But to Tryese and Singleton, I SAY NO.
