Major Story Arcs
Samantha Townes is a well-to-do woman in Victorian England. Her husband Bradley, who is the scion of a rich family, has been acting strangely, having ensconced himself in his room for days, allowing no one to see him.
The detectives Mandy Flynn, Salem Hawkshaw, and Bozz stop by seeking the source of some mysterious demonic activity, which they have traced to her home.
She lets them in and tells them the story about her husband, as well as about his brother Harrison, an antiques dealer who had been disinherited due to the fact that he actually wanted a job, instead of just living in the lap of luxury. The brothers had not been getting along but recently they had gotten back together.
The detectives question Harry in his shop of unusual and occult items, but he sends them off. After a run-in with some demons the detectives come back and insist on seeing Bradley. It turns out that he has been trying to learn magic from Harry, but his spells have all been going wrong, and he turned his head upside-down!
Harry shows up and they confront each other. Harry has actually purposefully been sabotaging Bradley's spells out of frustration at his family. Samantha faints at seeing her disfigured husband.
Harry escapes and the detectives eventually stop him, but Bradley is stuck the way he is. It us unknown whether Samantha is able to accept him in his new form.
