    Rudolph Valentino was considered to be extremely good looking. He starred in several silent films in the 1920's. Unfortunately, he met a most untimely death on August 23, 1926 at only age 31. His sudden death apparently caused a frenzy among many of his female fans, who no doubt felt they were in love with him. This only increased his stature. Perhaps his death and resulting reaction among his female fans is somewhat comparable to the reaction when Elvis Presley died suddenly decades later.
