    V for Vendetta

Rosemary is repeatedly abused and insulted by her husband, culminating in an incident where he threatens her with an, unbeknownst to her, unloaded gun. He is shortly thereafter murdered by V, and Rosemary is denied a pension by the government. Desperate, she turns to Roger Dascombe, who initiates a sexual relationship with her largely to get one over on Derek, whom he disliked. Dascombe is soon thereafter also murdered by V, and Rosemary is forced to get a job working as a showgirl at the Kit Kat Keller. Growing increasingly disillusioned with the fascist police state she lives in, Rosemary purchases a gun from Alistair Harper. Pushing through a cordon during the Leader's procession through London, she shoots and kills Adam Susan. Captured by the Finger, she is taken in for torture and questioning, but as the government collapsed soon thereafter her fate is unknown.
