Silver sentry from the golden galaxy, Rom has come to Earth to destroy the forces of the Dire Wraiths.
She is the Prime Director of Galador and the widow of the legendary Spaceknight ROM, with whom she produced two sons: Balin and Tristan. She was also the second person to hold the title of Starshine.
Three characters have assumed the mantle and armor of Starshine, all have been Spaceknights, allies and at least one a love interest to their fellow Spaceknight Rom, in his fight against the Dire Wraiths, alien shape-shifters who evolved off of Skrulls.

A scrappy, rebellious orphan, Rick Jones stumbled into the test site for the Gamma Bomb and inadvertently caused Bruce Banner to be caught in the blast that transformed Banner into the Hulk. Rick became the Hulk's closest confidant, a member of the Avengers, and a friend and sidekick to multiple heroes. Rick eventually became an immortal gamma mutate and has undergone multiple transformations.
Leader of the Wraith-Hunter Rangers, an elite commando corps that fought the Dire Wraiths alongside Rom and the Spaceknights of Galador.
Cindy Adams was a young woman that encountered and survived a Dire Wraith attack. She joined ROM not soon afterwards.
Firefall was an identity used by three Spaceknights in succession to each other.

Archie Stryker was a common Earth criminal who encountered Rom. He was enlisted by the Wraiths to fight Rom.
Scanner Was the Identity of two SpaceKnights. Skera with Enhanced Detection powers, and Rhanla with Enhanced Speed.
Terminator was an identity used by two Spaceknights in succession to each other.
Henry Peter Gyrich, an ambitious politician, has often been a thorn in the side to the superhuman community. Afraid of that which is different, Gyrich has often hindered the effectiveness of superheroes and has been among the first to blame them for society's ills.
Forge is a Cheyenne with natural mystical abilities and the mutant power to innately comprehend technology and build anything he can think of. He's a former love of Storm.
Steve Jackson is Brandy Clark's boyfriend.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
The Hybrid was conceived when a male Dire Wraith under the identity of "Jacob Marks" married a human woman named Marjorie whom he had fallen in love with.
Seeker was a first generation Spaceknight.
Kurt Wagner is a prominent member of the X-Men and former member and leader of Excalibur. He possessed the Neyaphemian ability of teleportation, as well as incredible agility, wall scaling and a prehensile tail. Nightcrawler is a devout Catholic, contrasting his demonic appearance. He is a highly skilled swordsmen and former circus acrobat.
Piotr Rasputin is a Russian mutant who possesses the ability to transform his body into organic steel, giving him immense strength and durability. Colossus is among the physically strongest X-Men, and is a talented artist.

Namor the Sub-Mariner is the ruler of undersea Atlantis. The offspring of a sea captain and an Atlantean princess, he has been both a hero and a villain to the surface world. Namor is one of Marvel's oldest published characters with his origins in the Golden Age of comics.

Rainbow was a first generation Spaceknight. She has the power to emit a Rainbow colored light that manipulates emotions.
A long-time member of Alpha Flight, Walter Langkowski has the ability to transform at will into the fearsome and powerful Sasquatch. He gained his powers while trying to duplicate the conditions that had created the Hulk, but inadvertently fused his body with the essence of the Great Beast, Tanaraq, instead.
