After Santo made the New X-Men team he discussed with Anole and Match whether they would be worthy additions to the team. Rockslide fought alongside Anole in Limbo and after seeing the potential of Anole he demanded Anole and Pixie be added the the New X-Men squad or he would quit. Victor attacked Rockslide later for calling him a "pansy," which Victor took as a homophobic slur. Santo apologize4d, claiming he didn't know. Rockslide later outed Victor to their friends in a humorous and misguided attempt at bonding, stating that he didn't mind as it left more girls available for him.

Since coming to the school Julian and Santo have been close friends. They were both selected as members of the Hellions squad, and are currently teammates on the New X-Men. Julian has also helped re-assemble Rockslide twice after he was demolished.
The first mutant born after M-Day, Hope Summers is believed to either be the mutant messiah or the harbinger of death for humanity. She is an Omega-level mutant power manipulator and possesses a connection to the Phoenix Force.
