    Trapped on part of a collapsed bridge, Richard formed a group with the other people that got stuck. Fortunately, they were cut off from the Crossed virus. One day, they were visited by survivalists Morgan and Olivia, who divided the group into smaller pieces so they could manage them.

    Morgan and Olivia sowed doubt and anger into the group. They convinced Russ that Richard, the self-appointed leader, could better be removed from the group. Russ pushed Richard off the bridge, hoping to kill him. Richard survived however, as was revealed when he picked up Tyree, who jumped off the bridge to avoid a Crossed invasion.
